This model is made with the leaders' coupling reins sewn securely into the draught rein. This makes them more suitable for marathon type driving because there is no risk of getting a coupling buckle caught up on the roger rings when turning the leaders sharply.

The join between the draught reins and coupling is smooth and strong. To allow the usual adjustment of coupling reins, fixed leader reins are made with extra holes on the billet so adjustment can be made from the front end.
